Ahmed is the Managing Partner of Totem Architects, responsible for the day-to-day running of the company. He graduated in architecture and urban planning from the École Africaine des Métiers de l’Architecture et de l’Urbanisme in Lomé in 2010, and began his career with the firm ARCOFOR. He quickly rose through the ranks, from Trainee Architect to Head of Architectural Production, then Director of the Abidjan office. During his time at ARCOFOR, Ahmed led several major projects, including the design of the Tour Noguès in Le Plateau, a mixed-use building comprising retail, offices and luxury flats spread over 25 floors.

In 2015, Ahmed co-founded Totem Architects with Sionfougo Soro. Accredited by the National Order of the Architects of Côte d’Ivoire and an active member of the International Society of City and Regional Planners, Ahmed is passionate about discussing and exchanging ideas on the evolution of cities worldwide. In 2021, he was appointed to the Dezeen Awards jury in the Architecture category.
