Rawda
Providing decent housing at a competitive rent by optimising construction costs is the challenge that Totem Architects addresses through a series of small-scale test building projects. The developers of these buildings are private investors, often family-based, with limited financial resources, whose need for quick returns often compromises the quality of their construction projects. Totem Architects aims to improve the design and level of finish of the projects while staying as close as possible to the usual construction budgets.
The Rawda project, located in the eastern extension zone of the city of Abidjan, is an example. It is an apartment building with F2 and F3 units on 3 levels, intended for young households of 2 to 4 people.
